Sad: Bus driver crushes twins going to school to death in Ogun State

Commercial bus today crushed two children to death at Ita-Oshin area of Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The children, who were from the same parent, were going to school when the incident happened.
The driver of a Toyota Picnic commercial bus marked LAGOS KTU 175 DZ, reportedly lost control of the wheels and ran over the kids, killing them on the spot.

The brother of the victims survived the incident, but was critically injured.

An eyewitness said the remains of the children, said to be twins had been evacuated to the Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Aro, in the state capital. Their injured brother is also receiving treatment at the same hospital.
The eyewitness according to The Nation also added that : “we heard a sound and we quickly rushed down to the scene only to realize that a vehicle had knocked down some children in school uniform.
“We immediately stopped a taxi and took the children to the hospital and the nurses tried their best.
“But they later confirmed the girls dead, while their brother is responding to treatment at the same hospital.”

The Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ogun State Command, Adegoke Adetunji, blamed the driver for reckless driving.

Adetunji, who said the driver lost control of the vehicle and ran over the children, urged motorists to always avoid reckless driving and put into consideration safety of other road users.
